Kell Electricals Ltd
24/7 Emergency Electrical Services

An active electrical hazard doesn’t wait for a scheduled callout

For sparking, burning smells, exposed wiring, or a total power loss, call now. Our target response time is within 30 minutes.

Overview

A dedicated emergency line, not a general contact form

Electrical faults that pose a safety or business-continuity risk get a same-day, any-hour response. This isn't a general contact line. It's a dedicated emergency response service for genuine electrical hazards and critical outages.

Problems we solve

What counts as an electrical emergency

Power outages affecting part or all of a property
Short circuits
Breakers that keep tripping
Burning smells from outlets, panels, or fittings
Sparking outlets, switches, or panels
Exposed or damaged live wires
Overheating cables, panels, or equipment
Switchboard and distribution board faults
Generator faults during an outage
Inverter faults or failures
Electrical fires (call the fire service and us)
Water-affected electrical systems (flooding, roof leaks)
Who we serve

Homes, businesses, and industrial sites

Residential

Homes engineered for Nigeria's actual grid conditions, not just the day the wiring passes inspection.

Commercial

Offices and retail fit-outs where an electrical fault means lost trading hours, not just an inconvenience.

Industrial

Factory and plant electrical infrastructure where downtime is measured in production loss, not inconvenience.

Hospitality

Hotels, restaurants, and event venues where guests never see the electrical system, only whether it works.

Education

Schools and training facilities where electrical downtime interrupts instruction, not just inconvenience.

Healthcare

Clinics and healthcare facilities where backup power isn't a convenience, it's a patient-safety requirement.

Retail

Shops and showrooms where lighting quality and uptime directly affect the customer walking through the door.

Our process

From call to safe again

01

Call or WhatsApp

Reach us on +234 814 020 5895 or WhatsApp. For anything involving fire, smoke, or shock risk, call the fire service first if needed, then us.

02

Safety triage

We walk you through immediate safety steps over the phone if needed - switching off the main supply, keeping clear of the affected area, not touching exposed conductors.

03

Dispatch & diagnosis

A technician is dispatched, with a target response time of within 30 minutes, to diagnose the fault on site.

04

Repair or safe isolation

Where a full repair can be completed safely on the spot, it is. Where the fix requires parts or scoped follow-up work, the area is made safe first and a repair is scheduled.

Technical considerations

What to know before we arrive

Why you should isolate power, not investigate it

A tripped breaker or blown fuse is a protective device doing its job - repeatedly resetting it without diagnosing the cause risks re-energizing a fault. Isolating the circuit (or the main supply, if the fault location isn't obvious) and waiting for a technician is safer than testing it yourself.

Burning smells don’t always trace to the obvious source

Heat and smell can travel along cable runs and through wall cavities, so the smell’s location isn’t always the fault’s location. Proper diagnosis needs thermal and circuit testing, not a visual check alone.

Water and electricity: isolate before you approach

Flooding or a roof leak near electrical equipment is treated as live until proven otherwise. Do not enter standing water near a panel or outlet, and isolate supply at the main switch if it can be reached safely.

FAQ

Common questions

View all FAQs →
01

How fast do you respond to emergencies?

We aim to respond to emergency call-outs within 30 minutes. Call +234 814 020 5895 directly for active hazards (sparking, burning smell, exposed live wiring) rather than submitting the contact form.

02

What counts as an electrical emergency?

Active hazards: sparking, a burning smell, exposed live wiring, or total power loss affecting safety-critical equipment. Recurring tripped breakers or a warm panel cover are worth calling about too, even if not urgent the same hour.

03

Is there an emergency contact outside business hours?

Yes. Call +234 814 020 5895 or email emergency@kellelectricals.com for urgent issues outside our normal business hours.

Prefer to talk it through first? Call +234 814 020 5895 directly.
