What it covers

Understanding a system

  • How panels, inverters, batteries and the main distribution board fit together
  • Reading a load list and understanding what a system has to carry
  • The difference between grid-tied, hybrid and off-grid set-ups

Working safely and installing properly

  • Safe isolation, protective equipment and working at height
  • Mounting, DC and AC cabling, protection and earthing
  • Testing, commissioning and handing a system over to a client

Looking after it afterwards

  • Routine inspection and basic fault-finding
  • Reading inverter and battery information
  • Keeping clear job records

Is there a fee?

No fee or date has been set yet. If a cohort has a cost, you will be told before you commit to anything. Registering costs nothing.

Do I need to be an electrician already?

Not necessarily. Tell us your background in the form and we will say what fits.

Where will the training take place?

Our work is based in Abuja. Location details will be given with the cohort details.
